Quick + Easy Crepe Party
A few nights ago, to celebrate the conclusion of our most recent Bible Study book, I decided instead of diving immediately into the next one...we'd have an evening of community.
You all know how much I love gathering together at the table (see here and here), so it was such a treat to chat while sitting under the strung globe lights in by backyard... and continuing to grow with this new group of ladies!
I realized the next day as I was setting out another little crepe party for the kids' after school treat, how fun it'd be for any occasion! Mother's Day, birthdays, bridal or baby shower...or just 'cuz it's Monday!
So here are some tips on how to do it...quickily + easily!
(and totally semi-made)
First things first: the crepes.
Spoiler alert...these are totally pre-made and from Costco.
Our local store has them in the refrigerated section (sort of by the cheese and deli meats). They come 20 to a package! If you have an Ikea near you, you could also purchase their frozen Swedish Pancakes, which are essentially the same as a crepe.
If you don't have those options however, here is a great recipe, here is a great mix, and here are some various supplies if you're wanting to go all-out (you totally don't need a crepe griddle, but it's still kinda fun).
There are loads of savory, mouth watering type yummy things you can place inside a crepe, like eggs or mushrooms, but for this party...we went sweet.
Fresh raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, Nutella (and it's healthier cousin Justin), as well as several different flavors of almond butter and chocolate sauce.
And of course, my personal favorite...homemade raspberry jam (recipe here).
I placed out my collection of mismatched vintage plates (found at various garage sales, Goodwill, and vintage markets through the years), and the cutest floral napkins from HomeGoods.
Some grocery store blooms placed into a drinking glass, and my favorite lemonade (this and this)...and we were set!
See? So quick and easy. The hardest part is spooning things from their store-bought packages, to small dishes (makes it look like you did more than you did, haha) and remembering to warm up the crepes just before friends or family sit at the table!
